（中央社華盛頓15日綜合外電報導）美國總統當選人川普（Donald Trump）交接團隊今天在聲明中表示，川普將提名律師佛里曼（David Friedman）出任駐以色列大使；佛里曼則表示，他期待在耶路撒冷任職。
美國駐以色列大使館過去數十年來一直位於特拉維夫。川普在競選期間曾誓言要把美國大使館遷到耶路撒冷，此舉幾乎肯定會引發全球穆斯林不滿。
川普在聲明稿中表示，「（佛里曼） 是我長年的好友和信賴的顧問。而在我們強化和盟友的關係，戮力中東和平之際，佛里曼和以色列堅實的關係，將奠定其外交使命的基礎，成為我們國家龐大的資產。」
擅長訴訟和破產法的佛里曼表示，他將努力不懈，以「強化兩國間牢不可破的關係，推動區域和平目標，並期盼在以色列永恆首都耶路撒冷的美國大使館從事這些任務。」（譯者：中央社劉淑琴）1051216
